Legal Wedding Service
Having an official or legal wedding in Bali is accessible for nearly all couples. The process of legal wedding registration in Bali is cost-effective and straightforward. Conducting both Religious and Civil (or Legal) wedding ceremonies in Bali is generally acknowledged as legally valid by most foreign countries. Please be aware that the process for a legal wedding in Bali may differ based on your nationality and the availability of your country's consulate or embassy in Bali or Indonesia. We suggest contacting us initially to confirm all details before moving forward.
To achieve legal wedding in Bali, you only need to meet two conditions:
- Share the same religion as your partner.
- Provide us with the specified simple documents listed below:
- Birth certificates for both partners must be translated into Indonesian by an authorized translator and legalized by your consulate. Foreign citizens should obtain a Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage in both English and Indonesian from your consulate representative in Indonesia. The process for obtaining this letter is subject to the regulations and laws of each country, and additional costs may apply based on consulate requirements. It is necessary to personally visit the consulate representative in Indonesia to acquire the Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage. Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months and provide certified divorce or death certificates if either party has been previously married.
- Submit a copy of the passport for foreign citizens and copies of the witnesses' passports. Witnesses must be over 18 years old and should not be siblings or parents.
- The baptism letter must be translated into Indonesian by an authorized translator and legalized by your consulate. If either party has been previously married, your divorce or death certificates should also be translated into Indonesian by an authorized translator and legalized by the consulate. Additionally, the Certificate of No Impediment should undergo the same translation and legalization process by your consulate.
- Foreigners must supply Form A from a hotel located in Badung Regency. Provide 8 copies of pictures (size 4 X 6 cm) featuring both partners together in the same frame. Both a Priest and Civil Wedding Minister will visit the resort to officiate the wedding.
